My Portfolio

Sarah Saleh is a Designer, Artist and DJ from Lebanon currently based in Amsterdam. She holds a BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan and completed her Master’s at the Disarming Design department at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam.

Drawing from her experiences of living in different places and navigating in-between spaces, Sarah focuses on scattered identities in her practice.  Using recorded sounds and collaged images, she aims to capture and express these experiences in her current reality. Sound and images become a way for her to create a sense of home, virtually moving from one place to another.  Additionally, Sarah engages in storytelling and chapters in her work, witnessing and juxtaposing cultural displacement by repositioning archives.

She is also the co-founder of BBTCOR (bring back the chill out room)—an art, music, and research initiative that calls for the revival of the 90s chill-out room. The project highlights a once-integral but often forgotten part of club culture: a designated space where people could pause, relax, and escape the high-energy pulse of the dance floor.

Her multidisciplinary practice includes different services such as: Video Editing, Exhibition Design, Scenographies, Web Design, Publication Design, Cultural Programming and Visual Research.
