The Sounds of Silence

Think Tanger - Tanger, Morocco

During a residency at Think Tanger funded
by Stimuleringsfonds, I investigated two abandoned housing developments in Tangier: Ibn Battuta and Cherafate. These half-built projects—concrete skeletons behind glossy real-estate billboards—were products of speculative development that promised modern living but were abandoned mid-construction, leaving empty shells scattered across the landscape.

The work took three interconnected forms: Field recordings and photography, collaborative zine workshop and a live performance
